Top 5 electric concepts at Paris Motor Show 2018

Growing environmental concerns have encouraged manufacturers to develop the electric car technology. Amongst a wide range of electric car concepts showcased at the ongoing Paris Motor Show 2018, we reveal the top five that caught our attention at this biennial automotive show –

Peugeot e-Legend concept

The Peugeot e-Legend concept pays tribute to its iconic 504 Coupe. Competing against the likes of the Tesla, the e-Legend concept reportedly will generate 400bhp of power and 800Nm of torque. The interior has a futuristic appeal as it features a foldable rectangular steering, large LCD screen across the dash, smart colours, materials and finishes.

Renault EZ-Ultimo

The EZ-Ultimo is the last of three EZ-branded vehicles to be revealed this year. Earlier this year, the company revealed the EZ-GO taxi and EZ-PRO delivery van. The production-ready model will be available on-demand, for a single trip, for an hour or for a day, depending on the requirement. Powered by an electric motor, it claims to offer level four autonomous technology.

Smart Forease concept

The Forease is essentially a Fortwo without the roof. The roofless design does add a little drama to the overall design, but then, it has drawn flak from the critics due to impracticality. The low windscreen and fairing behind the seats give it a make-believe sporty feel despite the fact that the vehicle will be offered as a modest metropolitan commuter. The current Fortwo EQ production model electric motor produces 80 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque.
